French in Normandy IH Rouen is proud to be the only school in France to have Green Standard Schools accreditation, and the first IH school to earn the sustainability badge.

This can only mean one thing, that at French in Normandy we take sustainability and the preservation of our planet very seriously.

We are paperless

Here are some ways in which we are doing our bit for the environment. First of all, we are committed to a policy of no waste and no paper. Actions to reduce waste include careful monitoorng of our energy bill, only using LED lights and zero paper in class. We use Google Drive during the class to offer all our students access to our online resource centre platform. Apart from helping our planet, this also means that our students can continue to work on their French even after their course is finished.it also means that each student can receive work taylor made to their needs giving each French in Normandy/IH Rouen a more personalised learning experience.

Other green and CSR measures that we take at school

Some of the other green and Corporate Social Responsibility measures we take at school include saving water in all the ways we can, having a 100% recycle policy throughout the school while using Elise, a local company which helps us to recycle all our waste whilst employing pople with reduced mobility and also embarking on projects that help our community. We have also made donations to Reforest Action, supported local actions to put Table football tables into children’s ward and have an ongoing project to help and support Friends of new Heart Children’s Home in Malindi Kenya.
